Material Attachment

Material Attachment builds on the previous research ‘Digital Craft’ which endeavours to recreate a ‘Future Antique’ by the integration of historical imagery and craft with new technology. The main aim of this project is to investigate methods of pre-treating eco fabrics for digital printing such as hemp, organic cottons and wild silk. These digital printed fabrics will be incorporated back into a vintage garment with the intention of giving it a second life.
‘Material Attachment’ will be exhibited at the ‘Ever and Again’ Exhibition 18th October – 25th Triangle Space, Chelsea College of Art and Design, Millbank, London.
